Beau McMillin

Beau M. McMillin is an experienced attorney concentrating in the areas of oil and gas, real property, and contract law.

He regularly advises clients involved in the acquisition, development, and exploration of oil and gas properties, with an emphasis on title examination.

Beau graduated Cum Laude from Oklahoma State University in 2003 with a major in Marketing and minor in Finance. Immediately upon graduation he began school at the University of Oklahoma, College of Law where he obtained his Juris Doctorate in 2006.  Shortly after graduating, Beau accepted an in-house Landman Position with Chesapeake Energy. Upon his passage of the Oklahoma Bar Exam in September of 2006, Beau accepted a promotion to Associate Title Attorney where he spent 2 years learning the ins and outs of Title Opinions in Oklahoma, Texas, and North Dakota. After 7 years with Chesapeake Energy Beau McMilliin and Anna Dovedan opened their own firm, Dovedan & McMillin, PLLC of which Beau was the managing partner for all 9 years of operation. During his time there, he has represented both public and privately-owned companies in a wide variety of oil and gas matters.

A native Oklahoman, Beau was born and raised in Shawnee, Oklahoma, but now calls Edmond home. When he is away from the office, you will find him at his daughter’s soccer games, art shows or academic award ceremonies.
