Brett graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor’s degree in Government.
He then attended Texas Tech University School of Law, from which he graduated in 1991. When not in the office, Brett is a fan of local sports teams and also enjoys traveling abroad.
The last fifteen years of his legal career have been focused on representing the oil and gas industry, and his primary practice areas include litigation, due diligence and rendering oil and gas title opinions. His title opinion experience includes original, supplemental, and division order title opinions primarily covering lands in the Eagle Ford Shale, Barnett Shale and Permian Basin areas.
Prior to focusing on oil and gas law, he worked for several Houston litigation firms that handled commercial disputes as well as insurance defense matters.
