Dee Alexander


Dee began his career as a field landman in South Louisiana.

His career eventually led him to work various shale plays and basins in 15 different states. He managed Lease, Title and Due Diligence teams for various acquisitions totaling greater than $1 Billion. He next transitioned his career by moving to an in-house role with Breitburn Operating LP where he oversaw Land related duties for multi-rig horizontal drilling programs. Dee served as a Sr. Staff Landman where he managed various producing properties in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Kansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. Additionally, he assisted in different Business Development roles helping to secure a $1.0 Billion Credit Facility for the company. Dee most recently served as an In-House Land Consultant at Riviera Resources, Inc. reporting directly to the VP of Land where he assisted in performing Due Diligence on the company’s NW Stack (OK) position. Additionally, he assisted the land team with various asset divestitures, preparation for a multi-rig horizontal drill program and confirming mineral positions in various basins.

Dee earned his B.A. in Political Science from University of Louisiana-Lafayette and is currently pursuing a M.S. in Energy Management from Oklahoma City University. He holds a Certified Professional Landman designation with the AAPL and is an HAPL member.

He lives in Katy, TX with his wife, Brittany, two kids, Adelyn and James, IV, and his two dachshunds.
